Clicks says it built the device for work-focused tasks like messaging, email, and document handling, not endless scrolling.

Phone for work

The Communicator features a physical keyboard as its core interface. Clicks designed the tactile keys for speed and comfort.

The keyboard also supports touch input, letting users scroll through content without touching the screen.

Clicks stripped the phone of most social media and gaming distractions. Instead, the device runs Android 16 with a customized experience built using Niagara Launcher.

The setup prioritizes messaging and productivity apps, including Gmail, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Slack.

A key feature is the Signal Light, a programmable light on the phone’s side.

Users can assign colors and patterns to specific contacts or apps. Messages from important people can trigger one color, while group chats or apps use another.

The same button doubles as the Prompt Key.

Pressing it allows users to dictate messages or record quick voice notes. Clicks has teased future AI features tied to this button, including note-taking tools and voice agents.

The company has not confirmed a launch timeline.

The Communicator includes several hardware features rarely seen on modern phones. It offers a 3.5mm headphone jack, a physical SIM tray alongside eSIM, and microSD expansion up to 2TB.

A tactile switch toggles airplane mode and can trigger other functions.

The phone weighs 170 grams and measures 131.5 millimeters tall. It supports global 5G and carries a 4,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery.

Camera hardware includes a 50-megapixel rear sensor with optical stabilization and a 24-megapixel front camera.

Hardware nostalgia returns

Clicks also leaned into modular design. Users can remove the back cover and swap colors. Launch options include Smoke, Clover, and Onyx.

The Communicator will retail for $499. Early buyers can secure it for $399 by placing a $199 deposit before February 27.

Customers who pay the full early price upfront will receive two extra back covers. Clicks expects shipments later this year.

Alongside the phone, Clicks announced the Power Keyboard. This slide-out keyboard attaches magnetically using MagSafe or Qi2 connections. It works with phones, tablets, and even televisions.

The keyboard includes a 2,150 mAh battery and supports multiple sliding positions.

Users can attach it in portrait or landscape mode. When paired with tablets or TVs, it functions as a standalone Bluetooth keyboard.

The Power Keyboard supports customization through the Clicks app on iOS and Android.

Early pricing starts at $79, with a later retail price of $109. Pre-orders open January 2, with shipping planned for spring.

With these launches, Clicks is betting that physical keys still matter.

Clicks Technology is expanding beyond smartphone accessories and into devices of its own.
