Robert Irwin <\/a>has pranked the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! <\/a>crew with a new look for the new year. But not everyone was impressed.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old <\/a>had a week off filming the reality TV show and didn’t shave during the downtime. He decided to return to the set with a moustache and gave his co-host Julia Morris<\/a> and mum, Terri, a big shock.<\/p>\n

“It has been a minute since I shaved,” he told his followers. “So I’m going to take this opportunity to play a little prank on the crew.”<\/p>\n

The Dancing With The Stars<\/a> winner filmed himself shaving everything but his ‘stache, and after it was complete, he looked at himself in the mirror and said the look was “perfect” before bursting into laughter.<\/p>\n

After playing around with several impersonations, including Magnum, P.I. star Tom Selleck, he decided to show it off to Julia, his mum, and the crew.<\/p>\n

He told them that he’d wanted to “try something a little bit different,” as the group exclaimed in surprise.<\/p>\n

Through laughter Julia told him it was “beautiful”, before asking, “What is happening?”<\/p>\n

“As your mother, I’m incredibly proud,” Terri joked.<\/p>\n

He asked his mum if he should keep it, and she shook her head, while sarcastically saying, “Definitely.”<\/p>\n

Robert confessed that he would finish the job, but said he wanted to keep the ‘stache.<\/p>\n

The wildlife conservationist’s followers were divided on the new look, with one person comparing him to Chris Hemsworth, while another added that they were “with Terri on this one”.<\/p>\n

“Robert Irwin in the next Top Gun movie,” wrote a third.<\/p>\n

Terri added in the comments that he was giving “Ned Flanders vibes,” referencing The Simpsons character.<\/p>\n

Others said that the star should have kept the full beard.<\/p>\n

Robert says 2025 was the ‘best year of my life’<\/p>\n

It comes after Robert posted a video on Instagram on New Year’s Eve, sharing that 2025 was the “best year” of his life.<\/p>\n

The clip was a highlights reel from the year that was, which included last year’s season of I’m A Celebrity, crocodile rescues, time spent with family and animals, his infamous Bonds campaign and more.<\/p>\n

Of course, his Dancing With the Stars win took up a large chunk of the edit, including his viral shirtless moment.<\/p>\n

Robert’s sister, Bindi, <\/a>commented on the video and said: “What. A. Year. Love you so much!”<\/p>\n

“THIS EDIT ARE WE KIDDING,” his dancing partner Witney Carson<\/a> added.<\/p>\n
