{"id":217317,"date":"2026-01-05T04:49:05","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T04:49:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/217317\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T04:49:05","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T04:49:05","slug":"cctv-stills-released-of-men-sought","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/217317\/","title":{"rendered":"CCTV stills released of men sought"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  [&amp;_p]:tit-sub-xl tit-sub-xl md:[&amp;_p]:d-tit-sub-xl md:d-tit-sub-xl mb-[1.3rem]\">Police have today released images of two men sought following a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1news.co.nz\/2025\/12\/28\/mass-brawl-on-aucklands-k-rd-leaves-one-critical-four-arrested\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mass brawl involving around 50 people<\/a> on Auckland&#8217;s Karangahape Rd more than a week ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">Emergency services were called to the disorder at about 3.40am on Sunday, December 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">It was followed by three serious assaults roughly 35 minutes later. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">At 4.15am, a 33-year-old man sustained serious head injuries in an assault by an unknown person outside Crown Bar on Queen St. The victim was taken to hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">Around 15 minutes later, a 27-year-old man received serious head injuries following an assault, also by an unknown person, on Cobden St near Karangahape Rd. St John said an ambulance and a manager responded at 4.31am. The victim was taken to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">At 5am, a 46-year-old man sustained serious head injuries in an assault at a Mobil Service Station on the corner of Karangahape and Ponsonby roads. From this incident, a 21-year-old man was arrested and appeared in the Auckland District Court on December 30 charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-greyDarkFaded\">Police were called to the scene around 3.30am amid reports of fighting. (Source: 1News)<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">Four people in total were arrested in relation to the disorder, including the man charged over the Mobil assault, a police spokesperson said at the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Greaves today said a police investigation into three serious assaults on and around K&#8217; Rd during the incident were ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">&#8220;One person has been arrested, however we would like help identifying the others pictured in these images,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-paragraph articleLinkText  lg mb-4\">&#8220;I\u2019m asking anyone who knows who they are to please get in touch.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/two-men-sought-in-relation-to-a-mass-brawl-source-nz-police-WYDPGBVSHFH3XO77KMUDKNF5DQ.jpg\" alt=\"Two men sought in relation to a mass brawl.
