The achievement marks a significant step in reducing reliance on imported medical equipment, underscoring a broader trend of domestic innovation in critical healthcare infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Designed and manufactured entirely in India, the stretcher was developed in direct consultation with ambulance personnel. Features such as an independent leg-folding mechanism, collapsible railings, a self-aligning castor wheel system, an adjustable backrest, and a 200 kg load capacity stemmed from feedback provided by paramedics and drivers. The rugged design has enhanced patient handling in constrained spaces, congested traffic, and uneven terrain \u2014 conditions where imported stretchers often fall short.
