(Frazer Harrison\/Getty Images for Palm Springs International Film Society)<\/p>\n<p>Miley Cyrus\u00a0is down to do a song for the next season of Heated Rivalry \u2014\u00a0but one of the show\u2019s stars is afraid they won\u2019t be able to afford her.<\/p>\n<p>At the Palm Springs International Film Festival gala on Saturday, Miley\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Variety\/status\/2007641726719275348?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2007641726719275348%7Ctwgr%5E67d27af91afce4844773bc1e77edb94abd63e20b%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fvariety.com%2F2026%2Fstreaming%2Fcolumns%2Fheated-rivalry-francois-arnaud-miley-cyrus-season-2-1236623570%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">told<\/a> Variety that she hasn\u2019t watched the\u00a0steamy Canadian hockey romance yet, but she\u2019s \u201cso in\u201d to do music for it. \u201cBook me! Get me booked!\u201d she exclaimed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have not watched yet, but this is on my to-do list now,\u201d she added. \u201cIt\u2019s all I\u2019ve heard about \u2014 every conversation I\u2019ve had today has started with, \u2018You have to [watch it].\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When informed of Miley\u2019s comments at the Critics\u2019 Choice Awards on Sunday, Heated Rivalry star\u00a0Fran\u00e7ois Arnaud told <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/streaming\/columns\/heated-rivalry-francois-arnaud-miley-cyrus-season-2-1236623570\/#recipient_hashed=4c01f22a6a41b2092fc16cef081057dccf84876e4a079bb15540d35a61030b91&amp;recipient_salt=003e8e1d4363f02b5fb126f718ae840a43dd9e2cdb3e8541430981f0038cf293&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=exacttarget&amp;utm_campaign=newsalert&amp;utm_content=655793_01-04-2026&amp;utm_term=165676?utm_medium=&amp;utm_source=&amp;utm_campaign=&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_id=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Variety<\/a>, \u201cI think we might get a little bit bigger budget for Season 2, but I don\u2019t know if we get Miley budget.\u00a0I think if she sees the show, she might give us a discount.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Miley received the\u00a0Outstanding Artistic Achievement trophy at the Palm Springs International Film Awards. In her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DTG2izXkn4F\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">acceptance speech<\/a>, she admitted she had been hoping for an Oscar nomination for \u201cWe Dream As One,\u201d her song from Avatar: Fire and Ash,\u00a0before criticizing the competitive nature of awards shows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo often during awards season, we\u2019re set up to be competitors but we\u2019re meant to be a community. Not opponents,\u201d she said. \u201cThere is no single best.
