Alan Titchmarsh has appeared in several TV shows over the years, including Love Your Garden, Gardeners’ World, and more recently, Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh, which has proved hugely popular with audiences. However, some fans may be surprised to learn that not all is as it seems when it comes to the filming of Love Your Weekend. Although some believe that the farm, situated in Botley, Hampshire, is Titchmarsh’s home, there is more to it than meets the eye.

The farm undoubtedly offers viewers a lot to see, including animal fields, an Anderson shelter, a donkey shelter, and even a hen house. However, the gardening legend’s own abode is actually a Grade II listed property and features a sprawling green space that he has spent many years transforming.

The property is located in Alton, where Alan has lived for almost 20 years. According to Rightmove, properties in Alton had an overall average price of £349,283 over the last year. The majority of sales in Alton during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average of £315,865.

The gardener previously revealed to ITV: “We live in Hampshire, but my wife and I spend about a third of our time on the Isle of Wight. We live on the coast in Cowes when we are there, and there are various bays, harbours, and creeks all around the island that are wonderful to explore.”

Alton offers a mix of historic buildings, modern shops, and arcades. It is well known for its regular market day, which is held every Tuesday. There are also amazing museums in Alton, perfect for the whole family. This includes the Curtis Museum and the Allen Gallery.

Chawton House is also located in the area which once belonged to Jane Austen’s brother. The house, library and gardens are open for the public to explore.

Opening up about his garden on the programme Fifty Shades of Green with Alan Titchmarsh back in 2019, he revealed: “Because it’s an old Georgian farmhouse, I wanted to create a garden that was, to a degree, in keeping with it.

“As with a lot of houses, the best thing to do is to have the formal bits nearer the home and informal bits further away. I wanted a big terrace going right down the side; I’m particularly fond of this view. In a way, it’s the signature view of my garden.”

Alan Titchmarsh has appeared in several TV shows over the years, including Love Your Garden, Gardeners’ World, and…

[8
131718,131827,131825,131826,131824,131830,131829,131828,131823,131822,156,43913,131821,111,139,69
post-218453","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-entertainment","tag-alan-titchmarsh","tag-alan-titchmarsh-filming","tag-alan-titchmarsh-garden","tag-alan-titchmarsh-home","tag-alan-titchmarsh-love-your-weekend","tag-alan-titchmarsh-relationship","tag-alan-titchmarsh-show-time","tag-alan-titchmarsh-wife","tag-alton","tag-botley-hampshire","tag-entertainment","tag-itvx","tag-love-your-weekend","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz
["GET
