Miley Cyrus is gearing up for 20 years of Hannah Montana. In March, the hit Disney Channel show will have its landmark anniversary, and Cyrus is \u201cworking hard\u201d on preparing.<\/p>\n
During a red carpet interview with Variety<\/a> at the 37th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival on Jan. 3, Cyrus fielded questions about the show\u2019s 20th anniversary. \u201cAbsolutely. We’re working hard on them,\u201d she told the reporter when asked about preparations. When pressed for details, she kept it coy. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you,\u201d she said before giving one clue: \u201cYou see the bangs.\u201d<\/p>\n At the event, where she was honored with the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award, Cyrus debuted a new hairstyle \u2014 and apparently, it was a purposeful reference to her character\u2019s iconic blonde wig.<\/p>\n Cyrus has been teasing Hannah Montana\u2019s anniversary for months<\/a>. In December, she discussed the upcoming celebration on the Avatar: Fire and Ash press tour. \u201cI am definitely in the works [on something],\u201d Cyrus told Good Morning America<\/a> at the Dec. 1 premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash. \u201cA lot of my time right now is being spent on \u2018How can I honor Hannah in such a special celebration for us all?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Byron J Cohen\/Disney Channel\/Kobal\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n On Dec. 3, Billboard<\/a> posted an interview with Cyrus. During her conversation with the outlet, she shed some light on what that upcoming milestone may look like. \u201cWhat I want to do is really kind of honor just the longevity of the relationship that we\u2019ve built,\u201d she said. \u201cFor me, I love looking back at the growth of both of us, because it\u2019s very rare that someone grows up with their fan base.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHannah Montana outgrew the fantasy: It became the reality of my life,\u201d Cyrus added. \u201cSomething that was about this regular girl who\u2019s getting to have this extraordinary life by [being] someone she\u2019s not. And then me … having this life because of being who I really am … [I want] to celebrate that.\u201d<\/p>\n Cyrus also quashed the idea of a possible Hannah Montana reboot. \u201cI don\u2019t know if there is a new Hannah. This is the only Hannah<\/a>,\u201d she told Billboard at the time.
