\n\tCurtis \u201c50 Cent<\/a>\u201d Jackson is kicking off the new year with his latest project, this time collaborating with A&E for a true-crime series titled Gang Wars.<\/p>\n \n\tThe rapper-producer confirmed the news on Tuesday evening, simply writing in an Instagram post<\/a>: \u201cGang Wars coming soon A&E I got some heat.\u201d Jackson also shared a screenshot of an article by Parade<\/a>, which cites a report by Deadline<\/a> that Jackson\u2019s G-Unit Film & Television and Jonah Bekhor and Jonas Bell Pasht\u2019s Citizen Jones are working together on the upcoming project. Deadline describes the series as an \u201cunfiltered\u201d look into \u201cAmerica\u2019s most infamous gang rivalries with unprecedented access and never-before-heard accounts.\u201d A release date for the series has yet to be revealed.<\/p>\n \n\tThe announcement arrives on the heels of Sean Combs<\/a>: The Reckoning<\/a>, a four-part documentary released in December about the\u00a0imprisoned music mogul<\/a> that was executive produced\u00a0by Jackson. Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, the project streamed on Netflix and dug into Combs\u2019 life and career, his success in the music industry, and how\u00a0abuse allegations<\/a>\u00a0leveled by his ex, Cassie, led to a\u00a0wave of accusations<\/a>\u00a0and a criminal trial<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0landed Combs in prison<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\tCombs has\u00a0threatened to sue<\/a>\u00a0Netflix for airing the docuseries in a cease-and-desist letter <\/a>that claimed\u00a0The Reckoning used \u201cstolen footage.\u201d\u00a0 In a previous statement<\/a> provided to\u00a0Rolling Stone, Janice Combs, the mother of Combs, said the docuseries contained \u201cinaccuracies\u201d and was \u201cintentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tG-Unit, which was founded by Jackson, has also backed recent docs TikTok Star Murders and\u00a0The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets\u00a0for Peacock, and\u00a0Hip Hop Homicides\u00a0for WE TV.<\/p>\n \t
