Heated Rivalry\u2018s Hudson Williams<\/a> has teased a tragic plot for season two of the hit show, joking: \u201cThey all die.\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams stars as Shane Hollander in the LGBTQ+ sports drama based on Rachel Reid\u2019s book series, Game Changers, about rival ice hockey players engaging in a passionate love affair. <\/p>\n

Connor Storrie<\/a> stars as Ilya Rozanov, Shane\u2019s rival turned lover.<\/p>\n

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (7 January) Williams discussed the reaction to the series as well as the upcoming second season. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere are some meanies, there are some big baddies,\u201d Williams started sincerely. As the audience snickered at what that could mean, Williams played along adding: \u201cWell, yes, but no.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cIf season one is like an internal battle, season two is more of an external battle.\u201d To cap it off he joked: \u201cThey all die.\u201d<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t think that\u2019ll actually be the case, especially considering it\u2019s confirmed the main stars signed up for three seasons, but we can\u2019t blame Williams for having a little fun with it! Previously Williams said season two would be \u201chotter, wetter, and longer\u201d.<\/p>\n

But Williams\u2019 comments indicate that more of the conflict for season two with Ilya and Shane will come from outside forces as they navigate coming out publicly. <\/p>\n

A second season of Heated Rivalry was confirmed mid-December<\/a>. It follows the show\u2019s hit success and the virality of its stars and the show\u2019s intimate scenes<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The show\u2019s creator, Jacob Tierney<\/a>, has also discussed season two, specifically not wanting to rush it<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Tierney told\u00a0Entertainment Weekly<\/a> in December: \u201cWe\u2019re gonna go as fast as we can, while ensuring that we\u2019re doing as good a job as we possibly can.\u201d<\/p>\n

Heated Rivalry has already introduced one character<\/a> who could be a big focus for season two<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kyle (Matthew Finlan)<\/a> is a bartender at The Kingfisher, the favourite gay bar of Kip Grady (Robbie GK<\/a>), who got together with Scott Hunter (Fran\u00e7ois Arnaud<\/a>) at the end of season one. <\/p>\n

Kyle is the main character in the fourth\u00a0Game Changers\u00a0book,\u00a0Common Goal<\/a>. There he meets Scott\u2019s teammate, Eric Bennett, a character not yet depicted in the TV series.<\/p>\n

Williams also recently appeared on Radio Andy<\/a> where he discussed hearing from closeted pro-athletes since Heated Rivalry debuted.<\/p>\n

\u201cThose ones are the ones that really just kind of hit you and go, \u2018Oh, so this is a fun show, and it\u2019s celebratory, but also sometimes it\u2019s just hitting people right in the nerve,’\u201d the actor said.<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s first season\u00a0will premiere on Sky in the UK<\/a>\u00a0and Ireland from 10 January 2026.<\/p>\n
