Hidden Beast Games Season 2 detail revealed

Beast Games Season 2 Part 1 ended on an almighty cliffhanger, with $1 million up for grabs. We’ll have to wait for Episode 4 to find out who took the bribe, but viewers have spotted a hidden detail that may just provide an answer.

MrBeast has changed the format of his Prime Video competition series for the second chapter. Instead of 1,000 contestants, it starts out with 200 – half in the ‘strong’ team and the other half in the ‘smart’ team.

Throughout the course of Beast Games Season 2, this number will be whittled down to just one lucky contestant, who’ll be taking home a whopping $5 million cash prize. But that doesn’t mean everyone else goes home empty handed.

After the third game, MrBeast brings back the ‘Captain Bribe’ challenge, whereby the captains of the previously formed teams can press a button and win money – at the cost of their team being eliminated.

Who took the Captain Bribe in Beast Games Season 2?

"PlayersPrime Video

We won’t know for certain until Beast Games Season 2 Episode 4 drops, but fans think they’ve figured out that Player 126, Joseph Torres (JT) – the captain of the Pink Team – took the $1 million bribe.

For the uninitiated, the Captain Bribe was also seen in Season 1 of the series. After being elected by their respective teams, five captains stand in front of a button and, when MrBeast says, “Go,” an offer of money appears on the screen.

As the figure continues to increase, any captain can press their button and instantly win all of the cash for themselves. If they take the bribe, they’re not eliminated – but their teammates are.

The teams that were already formed for the Obstacle Course in Beast Games Season 2 choose the following players to serve as their captains:

Pink Team – Player 126, JT

Yellow Team – Player 99, Hannah

Blue Team – Player 831, Jeff

White Team – Player 118, Nick

Orange Team – Player 162, Tyler

"MrBeastPrime Video

Initially, no one pushes the button, and the prize pot climbs all the way to $1 million. Right at the end, MrBeast announces, “Someone took the prize!” But the episode ends there, meaning we have to wait until next Wednesday (January 14) to find out who took it… or will we?

Over on Reddit, one viewer wrote, “I don’t know who survives the captain’s bribe, and don’t f**king spoil it if you know, but based on my gut instinct something tells me that Jeff and Tyler won’t press the button and Blue and Orange will survive.

“Jeff because he needs the full five million to help his son Lucas find a cure for creatine transporter deficiency, and Tyler didn’t seem that interested in the money.

“I’m leaning towards it being JT, and the Pink Team getting eliminated, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Hannah/Yellow, or Nick/White.”

But one eagle-eyed viewer pointed to the preview shown at the end of Episode 1. “Go to 39:27 of Episode 1 where they flash cutscenes as next episode preview which shows the button push, you see under arm illumination is pink and the person to their left is yellow.

“Therefore, JT took it. Easy.”

Another agreed, “You can also clearly see the yellow panel to his left, AND it’s a short arm. Only one dude up there has short arms, and is standing next to yellow…”

It’s important to note that this is just speculation at this stage, and we won’t know for sure until next week. But that’s some pretty solid investigative work from viewers.
