<\/p>\nA supernatural period drama with a stacked cast, including Eleanor Tomlinson and James Norton, has now landed on a new streaming platform in the UK.<\/p>\n
Set in an alternate Victorian London, The Nevers follows the Touched, a group of individuals who manifest special abilities following a supernatural event. <\/p>\n
The story hinges around widow Amalia True (Laura Donnelly), a combative woman who runs an orphanage for people with powers, known as “turns” in the series.<\/p>\n
Amalia is best friends with Penance Adair (Ann Skelly), a brilliant inventor with the ability to spot electrical energy patterns. The cast also includes Norton as aristocratic club owner Hugo Swann and Tomlinson as struggling singer Mary Brighton.<\/p>\n
Premiering on HBO in 2021, the series previously aired on Now and Sky Atlantic in the UK. From 1 February this year, The Nevers will stream on ITVX in the UK.<\/p>\n

The short-lived series was cancelled before it could air the remaining six episodes of its first season, consisting of 12 episodes in total.
