The official trailer for Peacock\u2019s \u201cThe \u2018Burbs\u201d will remind you that, even in the safest town in American, every cul-de-sac has a dead end.<\/p>\n

Based on Joe Dante\u2018s 1989 cult classic of the same name, all eight episodes of the mystery comedy series will stream on Sunday, February 8.<\/p>\n

Set in present-day suburbia, Keke Palmer (Nope) and Jack Whitehall (Jungle Cruise) star a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband\u2019s childhood home.<\/p>\n

Their world is upended when a new neighbor moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Julia Duffy (\u201cNewhart\u201d), Paula Pell (\u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d),\u00a0Mark Proksch (\u201cWhat We Do in the Shadows\u201d), and Kapil Talwalkar (\u201cZoey\u2019s Extraordinary Playlist\u201d) round out the series regulars.<\/p>\n

Guest stars include Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), RJ Cyler (Power Rangers), Justin Kirk (\u201cWeeds\u201d), Kyrie McAlpin (\u201cWill Trent\u201d), Danielle Kennedy (\u201cNarcos\u201d), and Randy Oglesby (\u201cStar Trek: Enterprise\u201d).<\/p>\n

Creator\/showrunner Celeste Hughey (\u201cDead to Me\u201d) shares writing duties with Rachel Shukert (\u201cThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u201d). Nzingha Stewart (Tall Girl, \u201cDaisy Jones & the Six\u201d) directs.<\/p>\n

Palmer, Hughey, Shukert, and Stewart executive produce alongside Seth MacFarlane (\u201cFamily Guy\u201d), Erica Huggins, and Aimee Carlson for Fuzzy Door, and Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind), Kristen Zolner, and Natalie Berkus for Imagine Entertainment.<\/p>\n
