(WHNT) \u2013 NASA\u2019s Marshall Space Flight Center demolished two historic test stands on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Propulsion and Structural Test Facility and the Dynamic Test Facility were removed with coordinated implosions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Officials said the demolitions are part of a larger project that began in 2022 and targeted several inactive structures.<\/p>\n<p>Latest Headlines<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Propulsion and Structural Test Facility, better known as T-tower due to its unique shape, was built in 1957. According to NASA, it was used to test components of the Saturn launch vehicles, the Army\u2019s Redstone Rocket, and rocket boosters used on the space shuttle.
