\n Whilst the hunt for a permanent store continues, Get Free Books has announced it has reopened in a new spot at the Steam House Caf\u00e9 in Carr Street months after being served notice at its last location.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The bookshop, which allows customers take books for free, had been based on the corner of Upper Brook Street and Buttermarket in Ipswich for the last year.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n In July, it was forced to close after being served notice from the landlord of the property and has since been searching for a new permanent location.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n While the hunt for a permanent new replacement continues, some of the books have been taken out of storage and placed at the Steam House Caf\u00e9.\n<\/p>\n
\n Lucy Mortlock, the leader volunteer at Get Free Books said: “The lovely people at Steam House Caf\u00e9 have offered a home for some of our books and bookcases.\n<\/p>\n

\n “It’s a great place with the opportunity for refreshments and an accessible toilet.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It’s a work in progress and will take a while to get properly established, but there are books on shelves, so do pop in and give them a visit when you’re in town.\n<\/p>\n
\n “You can leave book donations, but please not too many at a time.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Our volunteers will be in most days for some of the time, but if we’re not there, please help yourselves to your three books and just fill in the tally chart”.\n<\/p>\n
