The One Battle After Another star won the Best Supporting Actress category<\/a> at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards<\/a> on Sunday, Jan. 11.<\/p>\n Directly after Taylor’s emotional speech, PEOPLE asked the actress in the press room why the win felt personal.<\/p>\n “I’ve been doing it since I was 15 years old, you know? And what this was for me was God reminded me that the weight is not punishment, it’s preparation for what’s already written,” said Taylor, 35.<\/p>\n “So my name being written on that card and the engraving \u2014 this is just mind-blowing, you know?” she continued to reporters backstage. “… I’m still gagging right now. I’m just like, oh, my God. I’m so happy. I’m filled with so much gratitude. I don\u2019t take any of this for granted. My gratitude is endless. I love you. We love you and thank you so much for holding space for me and our entire cast.”<\/p>\n The star finished her speech by speaking to “my Brown sisters and little Brown girls watching tonight.”<\/p>\n “Our softness is not a liability. I\u2019m still pinching myself.
