Golden Globes: Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd hilarious \u2018bad father\u2019 speech wins night<\/p>\n

Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd used his trademark wit to turn a Golden Globes acceptance speech into a family joke.<\/p>\n

Skarsg\u00e5rd won Best Supporting Male Actor in a Motion Picture for Sentimental Value. <\/p>\n

During the acceptance speech January 11, he joked that raising eight children had taught him how to play a bad father. <\/p>\n

He shared at Nikki Glaser-hosted event, \u201cMy children have been very educational.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m playing a father who is a bad father there. And my children have really told me what a bad father is,\u201d Skarsg\u00e5rd added drawing laughter from the audience.<\/p>\n

The actor shares six children with ex-wife My Skarsg\u00e5rd: Alexander (49), Gustaf (450, Sam (43), Bill (35), Eija (33), and Valter (30). <\/p>\n

He also has two younger sons, Ossian (16) and Kolbj\u00f6rn (13), with wife Megan Everett.<\/p>\n

The 74-year-old credited Everett as a \u201cbrutal support, a tough lover, and very educational\u201d in helping him prepare for the role in Joachim Trier movie.<\/p>\n

The moment echoed a playful exchange he recently had with son Alexander, who teased that his father was essentially playing himself as an absentee dad in the film. <\/p>\n

\u201cSentimental Value\u2014a beautiful film,\u201d Alexander shared with his father during Variety and CNN\u2019s Actors on Actors. \u201cYou play yourself, right? An absentee father?\u201d<\/p>\n
