Paramount Pictures released a new TV spot for Scream 7<\/a>, and it\u2019s very much a look back before charging headfirst into what\u2019s next. <\/p>\n

The \u201cLegacy\u201d trailer digs into the brutal history of the franchise, stitching together moments from past films while teasing the fresh nightmare waiting around the corner. For Sidney Prescott, it\u2019s proof the past still isn\u2019t done with her.<\/p>\n

The biggest headline here is the return of Neve Campbell<\/a> as Sidney Prescott. After sitting out Scream VI, Campbell is back at the center of the story, and this time Sidney isn\u2019t just surviving. She looks ready to confront everything that\u2019s followed her for decades. <\/p>\n

The trailer leans hard into legacy and the trauma that shaped the franchise, while sprinkling in just enough new footage to show that Ghostface has evolved yet again.<\/p>\n

Getting Scream 7 to this point hasn\u2019t been easy. The film was first announced in August 2023, riding the box office success of Scream VI, but the road forward quickly became messy. Industry strikes, creative shakeups, and major casting exits put the sequel on shaky ground. Even so, the franchise survived, and it\u2019s ready to stab again.<\/p>\n

The official synopsis lays out just how personal this chapter is going to be: \u201cWhen a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sidney\u2019s no longer just the final girl. She\u2019s a mother, and Ghostface is threatening the one thing she can\u2019t lose. It raises the stakes beyond simple survival and turns this into a fight that feels inevitable.<\/p>\n

Alongside Campbell, the film brings back Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. In a wild twist, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, and Scott Foley are also returning, despite their characters being very, very dead. That alone raises plenty of questions the trailer wisely refuses to answer.<\/p>\n

New faces are stepping into Woodsboro\u2019s orbit too, including Isabel May, Celeste O\u2019Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mark Consuelos, and Ethan Embry. <\/p>\n

With Kevin Williamson guiding the story and Campbell firmly back in place, Scream 7 looks ready to lean into what made the franchise work in the first place while pushing Sidney into her most dangerous chapter yet. <\/p>\n
