Robert Pattinson<\/a> made a cameo in Marty Supreme<\/a>, and not even the most try-hard Twihard<\/a> would be able to clock it. In a conversation<\/a> at BFI Southbank in London, director Josh Safdie<\/a> revealed that Pattinson voices the ping-pong announcer in the British Open semifinals scene, narrating the match between Marty (Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a>) and Bela Kletzki (Geza Rohrig). \u201cIt\u2019s like a little Easter egg,\u201d Safdie said. \u201cHe came and watched some stuff ,and I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t know any British people.\u2019 So he\u2019s the umpire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whether or not it\u2019s true that Safdie doesn\u2019t know a single other British person personally, this isn\u2019t even the first time an A-list (A-level?) Brit has made a vocal cameo in one of his films. In Uncut Gems<\/a>, Tilda Swinton<\/a> played an auction manager<\/a> on the other end of a phone call with Howie (Adam Sandler.) But Safdie and Pattinson are buddies who go way back<\/a> to when Pattinson starred in the 2017 Safdie brothers stressfest Good Time<\/a>. Of all their favors between friends over the years, an uncredited voice-acting role is still second to the time Pattinson gifted Safdie a Toto Neoreset Japanese toilet.<\/p>\n
