Carla Connor<\/a>\u00a0(Alison King<\/a>) and\u00a0Lisa Swain<\/a>\u00a0(Vicky Myers<\/a>)\u2019s romance was a match made in heaven \u2013 or at least on the cobbles of\u00a0Coronation Street<\/a>. When they finally got engaged, after a few false starts, it looked like they would get their happy ever after.\u00a0<\/p>\n Then fate intervened in a spectacular way when Lisa\u2019s dead wife Becky (Amy Cudden) proved to be a lot less dead and a lot more evil than anyone could have ever suspected.\u00a0<\/p>\n When trying to win Lisa back with a heady mix of nostalgia and manipulation didn\u2019t work, Becky realised the stumbling block to her ambition to have her family back again was, and always would be, Carla Connor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n So she took some standard soap action to neutralise the threat by kidnapping Carla to keep her from exposing the truth that Becky was a wrong\u00a0\u2019un who was involved in all sorts of murky activity.<\/p>\n Sorry, this video isn’t available any more.<\/p>\n While Carla spent Christmas literally trussed up like a turkey, Becky was focusing on wooing the lovely Lisa, but she reckoned without Lisa\u2019s colleague Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), who had a feeling that Becky had made Carla disappear and was intent on tracking the factory boss down.\u00a0<\/p>\n This culminated in Kit finding Carla and then the two of them trying to track Becky down before she could leave Weatherfield with Betsy (Sydney Martin) and Lisa. In dramatic fashion Becky\u2019s car ended up in the Corriedale collision.\u00a0<\/p>\n In a moment that had a nation of Swarla fans cheering, Lisa arrested her undead wife in the back of an ambulance.\u00a0<\/p>\n And with the news that\u00a0Becky has been sent to prison for 12 years<\/a>, it seems that Lisa and Carla\u2019s ordeal is finally over. But can they put recent horrific events \u2013 and the fact that Lisa so very nearly ended up leaving the country with her former wife \u2013 behind them and rekindle their relationship?\u00a0<\/p>\n Betsy certainly wants this to happen. She tells Carla that she and her mum still love Carla very much and she wants them to be a family again.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t Carla is still hesitant, but then inspiration comes from Roy Cropper (David Neilson) \u2013 and his beloved late wife,\u00a0Hayley Cropper<\/a>\u00a0(Julie Hesmondhalgh<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n Hayley and Roy were one of Coronation Street\u2019s most iconic couples. Their marriage lasted 15 years until Hayley died in 2014 and they were absolute soulmates. Roy often refers to Hayley and\u00a0lights a candle on a cake every year on her birthday<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 it\u2019s clear that she\u2019s never far from his thoughts.\u00a0<\/p>\n In an upcoming episode, it\u2019s the anniversary of Hayley\u2019s death and he\u2019s planning to visit the boating lake where he scattered her ashes as it was a special place for them both.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tDon’t miss a Soaps scoop!
