A new report suggests that a beloved star from Marvel Studios\u2019 Ant-Man might no longer be appearing in any future MCU project.<\/p>\n
What Ant-Man star won\u2019t be back in the MCU?<\/p>\n
According to a new post on social media from insider Daniel Richtman, he\u2019s heard that actor Michael Pe\u00f1a, who appeared in the Ant-Man films, will \u201cnever\u201d come back to the MCU. Richtman notes he\u2019s unsure what happened to cause Pe\u00f1a to feel this way, however.<\/p>\n
Pe\u00f1a was a fan-favorite in the Ant-Man films, appearing as Luis, Scott Lang\u2019s (Paul Rudd) best friend and a former criminal liaison for him. In the movies, Pe\u00f1a\u2019s Luis acts more so as comedic relief, breaking off into storytelling tangets from time to time throughout both Ant-Man movies.<\/p>\n
While Pe\u00f1a had never appeared outside of the Ant-Man franchise, fans were likely hoping to see him again at some point. However, it seems like that won\u2019t be the case moving forward. Pe\u00f1a\u2019s only two credits in the MCU come in both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, with the star not having appeared in the third Ant-Man film, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.<\/p>\n
Up next for the world of MCU are two major films in 2026. On July 31, 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will release.
