According to a fairly reliable source, Google\u2019s Pixel 10a prices aren\u2019t all that different from last year, but they could somehow going down.<\/p>\n

2026 is going to be a year of rising costs in basically all consumer electronics. This is being felt in the PC market right now (especially for custom-built PCs), but it\u2019s also going to affect new phones. Nothing, for example, confirmed just this week that its prices will be going up this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yet, it seems like Google\u2019s next Pixel release might somehow do the opposite?<\/p>\n

Leaker @MysteryLupin on Twitter\/X<\/a> reports, citing retailer listings, that the Pixel 10a will start at around \u20ac500 for its 128GB model, and around \u20ac600 for its 256GB variant. The latter would be available solely in \u201cObsidian\u201d (black), while the rest of the leaked colors<\/a> would be available for the base tier.<\/p>\n

The prices here are notable, as Pixel 9a was released in Europe for \u20ac549 last year for its base 128GB model, and $499 in the US. Dropping the price to \u20ac500 in Europe would be unexpected given the rising costs of components, but it would also be appreciated among customers. How is Google pulling that off? It\u2019s hard to say, but if the price truly does go down, it could be in part due to the similarities shared between Pixel 9a and Pixel 10a. The designs look very similar, as do the specs, and even the chipset isn\u2019t changing. So, while Google may have to deal with some higher component costs in other parts of the device, other costs are potentially much lower.<\/p>\n

Pixel 10a is expected to launch as soon as mid-February<\/a> per recent leaks, well ahead of the expected schedule.<\/p>\n
