\n\tJ.J. Abrams\u2019 next movie is coming to Imax theaters this fall, Warner Bros. announced Friday.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe film, starring Glen Powell<\/a> and Jenna Ortega, is officially titled \u201cThe Great Beyond\u201d and will launch into theaters on Nov. 13. Abrams wrote and directed the movie, which marks his return to big-screen blockbusters after helming 2019\u2019s \u201cStar Wars: Episode IX -The Rise of Skywalker.\u201d He also produced the project alongside Tommy Gormley. Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Merritt Wever and Samuel L. Jackson round out the film\u2019s starry ensemble cast.<\/p>\n \n\tWarner Bros. also announced release dates for a couple of 2027 releases: Sam Esmail\u2019s \u201cPanic Carefully,\u201d starring Julia Roberts, will debut in Imax theaters on February 26, 2027; meanwhile, Tim Miller and Keanu Reeves\u2019 yet-to-be-titled team-up will premiere on August 13.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cPanic Carefully\u201d marks the latest collaboration between Esmail and Roberts, following their Prime Video series \u201cHomecoming,\u201d the Starz show \u201cGaslit\u201d and the Netflix movie \u201cLeave the World Behind.\u201d Starring alongside Roberts are Eddie Redmayne, Brian Tyree Henry, Ben Chaplin, Aidan Gillen, Joe Alwyn, Naledi Murray and Elizabeth Olsen. Esmail and Roberts produced the new movie with Scott Stuber, Chad Hamilton, Marisa Yeres Gill and Lisa Gillan. <\/p>\n \n\tDetails about Miller and Reeves\u2019 sci-fi film have been kept largely under wraps, but an early logline teased that the plot focuses on \u201ca smuggler caught in a mysterious time loop must survive both bloodthirsty mercenaries and sharks in Caribbean waters, repeating the same deadly day until he finds a way out.\u201d Miller directs from a script by Ian Shorr; Matthew Vaughn, Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swett and John Zaozirny are producing. <\/p>\n \n\tNew Line Cinema\u2019s next installment in \u201cThe Conjuring<\/a>\u201d franchise, \u201cFirst Communion,\u201d is dated for September 10. The prequel movie<\/a> \u2014 directed by Rodrigue Huart from a screenplay by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg \u2014 further expands the $2.7 billion-grossing \u201cConjuring\u201d universe.
