Battery and camera specs are still unknown.

2026 is shaping up to be the year of the QWERTY smartphone keyboard.

First there was Click’s Communicator, a well-thought-out BlackBerry-inspired smartphone with a full keyboard, and now Unihertz is back at it again with the Titan Elite 2, yet another smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. The device follows up the keyboard equipped Titan 2, which released last summer.

Similar to its predecessor, the Titan Elite 2 features a square display and a full keyboard. Upgrades include ditching the chunky frame and thick bezels for a curved display, and a sleek-looking hole-punch front camera. The phone’s navigation keys have also been shifted to sit along the spacebar instead of in their own row, allowing the device to be slightly smaller.

Of course, the Titan Elite 2 still runs Android with a heavily modified skin, just like the Titan 2.

                    Related

The Clicks Communicator is probably the closest thing we’ll ever get to a Blackberry revival

Another “dumb phone” has arrived, but at least this one look cool.

A few of the Titan Elite 2’s key specs are still unknown

It’s unclear when the keyboard-equipped phone will release

Credit: Unihertz

While we know the Elite is an upgrade over the Titan 2, not every spec has been revealed yet. So far, the Titan Elite 2 is confirmed to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. It’s likely the phone also features an AMOLED screen, but we don’t know for sure yet. Connectivity specs include 5G, NFC, and Bluetooth (we don’t know what version). It’s unclear how big the throwback device’s battery is or what its camera specs are.

I’ve often thought about giving a keyboard-equipped Android device a real try, but as cool as the Titan Elite 2 looks, I’m hooked on the Clicks Communicator’s sleek design. After seeing the device briefly in person at CES 2026, it really looks like a modern take on a BlackBerry Curve 8900, complete with its focus on communication over media consumption. I also really like the idea of a stripped-back version of Niagara Launcher powering the device, too.

Unihertz hasn’t revealed a specific release date yet for the Titan Elite 2, though we’ll likely see it before Mobile World Congress (MWC) in March. Pricing also hasn’t been confirmed, but the smartphone will likely land somewhere in the $400-$500 range.

                    Related

Clicks’ Power Keyboard is the throwback BlackBerry accessory I didn’t know I needed

This might be the first smartphone QWERTY keyboard attachment that actually makes sense.

Summary 2026 feels like the start of a QWERTY keyboard-equipped smartphone comeback.
