Queen Mary of Denmark stepped out yesterday alongside her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe, for a culturally significant public engagement. The dress is designed by the British label Saloni. Made in navy velvet and decorated with red floral motifs, the design, known as Domino, features a high, Oriental-style neckline. It also features structured shoulders, a defined waist, puffed sleeves with fitted cuffs, and a straight, mid-calf skirt.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most eyecatching part of the dress is the teardrop-shaped cutout at the collarbone, which adds a subtle modern touch without detracting from its elegance. The dress is priced at $915 and is currently available on the brand\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

Queen Mary<\/a> completed the look with blue silk Gianvito Rossi\u00a0pumps, which she’s worn before, and a recycled crocodile-effect Konvo clutch by the brand 1602.<\/p>\n
