The Hunting Wives, the “addictive” whodunnit that’s keeping fans on their toes, is still trending in the UK after being added to ITV’s streaming service last month<\/a>. Featuring “sex, secrets and gun-slinging huns”, the show follows “a city housewife who falls in with an East Texan socialite\u2019s killer clique”.<\/p>\n

Brittany Snow stars as a woman named Sophie who moves to a fictional town in East Texas after killing a pedestrian while driving under the influence. <\/p>\n

After arriving in the new town with her husband Graham (Evan Jonigkeit), Sophie is drawn into a world of murder and obsession after catching the attention of socialite Margo Banks (Malin Akerman). <\/p>\n

Joining the aforementioned on the cast are Inventing Anna actor Katie Lowes, Secret Invasion star Dermot Mulroney, Juniper’s George Ferrier, General Hospital actor Jaime Ray Newman, and This Is Us star Chrissy Metz.<\/p>\n

After being added to ITVX on 28 December, the show has remained popular among viewers and it currently occupies the number four position in the streaming service’s top 10 most watched list. <\/p>\n

A hit among critics, season one of The Hunting Wives has a score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a> from 30 reviews, with Common Sense Media<\/a> writing: “With plenty of down-low sex and twists that lean either soap opera or murder mystery, this series is enjoyable trashy fun, elevated by familiar faces.”<\/p>\n

The Guardian<\/a> said: “The Hunting Wives is perfect trash. The most perfect trash possibly ever — how\u2019s that?”<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s extremely silly, and yet this week, despite having a lot to do, I somehow watched all eight episodes. Enjoy,” penned The Boston Globe<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Over on IMDb<\/a>, fans were equally as taken with the show, with one fan<\/a> calling it “unpredictable and addictive from start to finish”. <\/p>\n

Another fan<\/a> told viewers not to “listen to the negative reviews”, saying it “actually kept me on my toes after the first few episodes”. <\/p>\n

Not everyone agreed, with one viewer<\/a> saying: “I had high hopes for this due to the cast and plot but so far it’s fallen short of expectations. I’m not sure if it’s the storyline or acting but it’s almost too cringy to watch.”<\/p>\n
