Despite both Jennifer Garner<\/a> and Ben Affleck being actors (and his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez being an actress too), it seems Affleck isn\u2019t too keen on his kids acting like them. For those who don\u2019t know, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children in their 13-year marriage. Their kids<\/a> are Violet (born in December 2005), Seraphina (born in January 2009), and Samuel (born in February 2012). While they\u2019re all growing up so fast, it seems he may not enjoy the thought of them acting.<\/p>\n

Affleck recently told E! News<\/a>, \u201cYou put something on your children when you have a public life and that\u2019s complicated. We really want to give them room to figure out what they want to do. I wouldn\u2019t push them into that. They\u2019re brilliant and lovely and wonderful and we love them and we\u2019re proud of them.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, seemingly joking, \u201cand hope that they don\u2019t waste their life acting.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s clearly a lighthearted level of shading, especially since he and Garner are such big actors. But it seems the added pressure of being the kids of actors may be a lot, and it seems he doesn\u2019t want his kids to feel that. He even spoke about starting from nothing, saying, \u201cIn some way, it was kind of a blessing to anonymity, to struggle, to where we started, which was just in the middle of nowhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Violet is currently attending Yale University and may work in an environmental or health-related field. It\u2019s unclear if Seraphina or Samuel <\/a>has expressed interest in acting yet.<\/p>\n
