A boy is fighting for his life after being attacked by a shark at a popular Sydney beach.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to Vaucluse in the city’s east to reports of a shark attack about 4.20pm on Sunday. <\/p>\n
The boy, believed to be aged about 12, was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and other first responders at the scene for serious leg injuries, police said.<\/p>\n
He was then transported by road in critical condition to Sydney Children’s Hospital, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said.<\/p>\n
The incident happened near Nielsen Park and Shark Beach, a popular swimming spot for families with a netted area in Sydney Harbour.<\/p>\n
