Homer acknowledged the procedure is typically gruelling, saying, \u201cI am aware it will be brutal and make my 4 rounds of chemo look like a walk in the park.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is an awful lot that can go very wrong. All of the paperwork I have been given seems to say \u2018oh, and don\u2019t forget you could die\u2019 every second paragraph!\u201d<\/p>\n
Regardless of the sobering warnings, Homer is approaching this phase of her treatment with optimism, after a series of pre-procedural medical checks. <\/p>\n
\u201cI have complete confidence in my amazing medical team and I\u2019m just so damn grateful I get this opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n
The radio host faces a long recuperation and \u201c100 days on near isolation\u201d after the transplant and shared her mother has lent her a walker in preparation. Homer says as a result of the treatment, she\u2019ll \u201close my hair and brows again, which are just sprouting back\u201d.<\/p>\n
Homer is using manifestation to help get through her next phase of treatment and recovery.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis time next year, I\u2019ll be swimming in the ocean and dancing at a festival with actual people around!\u201d<\/p>\n
