But investors&#8217; appetite for risk appears to be reverting back to historic norms now that the White House is threatening to impose tariffs on nations that oppose U.S. control of Greenland, he said.\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_6-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> &#8220;The level of news is starting to weigh on client sentiments,&#8221; the head of the Swiss banking giant said. &#8220;There is a certain amount of news that you can get everyday, and then all of a sudden, one day or the other, it&#8217;s going to be enough.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p> Why This Matters to Investors<\/p>\n<p>The stock market bounced back after plummeting around so-called Liberation Day last April, when the Trump Administration imposed tariffs on most of the U.S.&#8217;s trading partners. It&#8217;s unclear whether the current market volatility is also some sort of short-term noise, or the beginning of more significant shift.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_9-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Investors are growing cautious, retaining cash and carefully diversifying, Ermotti said.
