CMAT<\/a> has received a nomination for this year\u2019s Brit Awards in the best international artist category.<\/p>\n

It comes after the Irish pop singer, who released her third album Euro-Country<\/a> last year, was shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year award earlier this week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the Brit Awards nomination on X, CMAT said: \u201cI will need to think of another new and unique part of my body to flash on live television!!! So grateful to be nominated for this again, and I will be honoured to lose to yet another very deserving winner.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dunboyne star is joined in the category by acts including Taylor Swift<\/a>, Chappell Roan<\/a> and Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Olivia Dean<\/a> and Lola Young are the most nominated acts for year\u2019s Brit Awards with five each.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Britpop band Pulp have scored their first nomination in 30 years, in the best group category.<\/p>\n

The nominations were announced on Wednesday evening at a livestreamed event from Co-op Live in Manchester, where Sam Fender, the most recent recipient of the Mercury Prize, received four nominations.<\/p>\n

Lily Allen<\/a>, whose album West End Girl<\/a> caused a stir when it was released last year, is nominated in three categories \u2013 for best album, artist of the year, and pop act.<\/p>\n

Her first album in seven years, it is said to detail the alleged infidelity of her ex-husband<\/a>, US actor David Harbour.<\/p>\n

Singer-songwriter Dean is up for best pop act, artist of the year, best album for The Art of Loving, and best song for Man I Need.<\/p>\n

Young, whose hit single Messy also earns her a nomination in the best song category, is also up for best pop act and artist of the year, as well as breakthrough act.<\/p>\n

She said receiving five nominations feels like a dream, adding: \u201cHow is this even possible? I\u2019ve had this dream a thousand times, so I\u2019m slightly convinced that my alarm clock is about to wake me up.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis means so much to me, I am so grateful for this moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fender is also nominated for artist of the year, alternative rock act, and best album for his release People Watching, as well as best song for Rein Me In, his collaboration with Dean.<\/p>\n

The singer said he is \u201cthankful\u201d for his four nominations, and \u201cforever grateful\u201d for his fans.<\/p>\n

In the best album category Dave is nominated for The Boy Who Played The Harp, alongside Wolf Alice for The Clearing, and the releases from Dean, Allen and Fender.<\/p>\n

In song of the year, Ed Sheeran\u2019s Azizam goes up against Lewis Capaldi with Survive, Raye with Where Is My Husband, and Newman with Family Matters.<\/p>\n

It was revealed that the public will be able to cast their votes in the song of the year and international song of the year categories via WhatsApp.<\/p>\n

According to the Brits, women and non-binary artists have seen the highest representation in its history, accounting for 69.2 per cent of nominees.<\/p>\n

The awards, hosted by comedian and actor Jack Whitehall, will be broadcast live on February 28th on ITV and ITVX.<\/p>\n
