Another shark scare has hit Sydney, as wild footage emerges of a huge shark leaping out of the water while a team of high school students row close by.<\/p>\n

The shark, which is suspected to be a bull shark, breached the water on the Parramatta River at Silverwater on Monday.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood the children were Year 10 junior rowers from The King\u2019s School and were taking part of holiday rowing camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cHoly f**k,\u201d one person behind the camera said as they watch the shark leap out of the water and twist its body erratically.<\/p>\n

The King\u2019s School have issued a statement to parents, advising they are taking precautions since the sighting according to reports by 9News.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn-water sessions will be cancelled if conditions pose an elevated risk of capsize,\u201d the statement read, while small boat training on the water has been cancelled.<\/p>\n

Popular Sydney beach under bull shark alert<\/p>\n

Alarms have also gone off at a popular Sydney beach after reports of a bull shark swimming in the area on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Lifeguards were forced to get everyone out of the water at Coogee Beach about 7am Thursday after reports of a bull shark.<\/p>\n

Swimmers and surfers were told to exit the water while lifeguards investigated the sighting.<\/p>\n

Footage shared on social media showed large waves crashing at the iconic Sydney beach as two people watched from the shore, with loud alarms ringing in the background.<\/p>\n

Lifeguards could be heard ordering the swimmers to clear the water over loud speakers as beachgoers lay nearby on the sand.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttention form the lifeguards, we\u2019ve had a number of reports of a bull shark in the area,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo we do ask everyone in the water to please return to shore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Paddleboarders were urged to help swimmers exit the water.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd for one of those board paddlers out there \u2013 one of the clubby boards \u2013 can you please paddle in with that guy swimming,\u201d the lifeguard said.<\/p>\n

Alarms rang throughout the beach.<\/p>\n

A Randwick City Council spokesperson confirmed there had been a shark sighting at the iconic beach at 7am Thursday.
\u201cOur lifeguards immediately closed the beach and conducted a thorough search of the area using a jet ski,\u201d they told NewsWire.
No sharks were located and the beach was reopened an hour later.
\u201cLifeguards will continue to monitor the ocean for sharks via jet skis and CCTV,\u201d they said.
The council urged swimmers to check online if the local beaches were open and stay alert to \u201cconditions that can attract sharks\u201d.
\u201cThese include murky water after heavy rain or large swells, low\u2011light periods such as dawn and dusk, and areas with increased baitfish,\u201d the spokesperson told NewsWire.
\u201cBaitfish often appear as dark patches in the water and can be identified through increased bird activity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Maroubra Community Facebook group urged visitors to \u201cstay out of the water\u201d.<\/p>\n

It comes after a horror week for NSW beaches, with four shark attacks in just a few days.<\/p>\n

On Monday, 12-year-old Nico Antic was critically injured by a bull shark while jumping from rocks into Sydney Harbour at Shark Beach near Nielsen Park.<\/p>\n

He suffered injuries to both his legs and was transported to the Children\u2019s Hospital in Randwick, and remains fighting for life.<\/p>\n

The following morning, an 11-year-old escaped injury after he was knocked off his surfboard by a shark at a beach near Dee Why.<\/p>\n

A 39-year-old was hospitalised on Tuesday morning after he was attacked by a shark in Point Plomer on the state\u2019s North Coast, escaping serious injury.<\/p>\n
