It\u2019s fair to say that Sarah Jessica Parker<\/a> and Chris Noth<\/a> will forever be intertwined thanks to their standout roles as Carrie Bradshaw and Big in Sex and the City<\/a> and its subsequent movies and spin-off series.\"<\/p>\n

However, almost 30 years after their debut as one of TV\u2019s most famous couples, Chris has confirmed that all is not well between him and his former costar, which probably doesn\u2019t come as much of a surprise considering his shady Instagram activity<\/a> earlier this year.\"<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, Chris raised eyebrows after he posted a photo<\/a> of himself working out alongside the caption: \u201cF&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!\u201d In the comments, somebody referenced Sarah Jessica\u2019s recent Golden Globes Carol Burnett Award, writing: \u201cYou mean fcuk sjp & her award right? lol,” to which Chris replied: “Right.”\"<\/p>\n

The actor later insisted<\/a> that he was simply being sarcastic in his comment, saying in a follow-up post: \u201cMy off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot. It is not news.”\"<span><\/p>\n

“It is not worth all this discussion,” he went on. “It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.”<\/p>\n

But now, Chris has admitted that his feelings toward Sarah Jessica soured because of how she reacted when he was accused<\/a> of sexual assault back in 2021.\"<\/p>\n

If you need reminding, shortly after Sex and the City\u2019s sequel series And Just Like That\u2026 premiered, multiple women came forward accusing Chris of sexual assault \u2014 which he has vehemently denied.\"<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> initially published rape allegations from two women, one of whom claimed she met Chris in 2004, when she was 22 years old. The other woman alleged that she met Chris in 2015, when she was 25. After this report, a third woman came forward and alleged<\/a> that Chris had sexually assaulted her in 2010, when she was 18 years old.\"<\/p>\n

Chris called the allegations \u201ca complete fabrication\u201d that \u201cread like a piece of bad fiction,\u201d adding to USA Today<\/a> at the time: \u201cI strayed on my wife, and it’s devastating to her and not a very pretty picture. What it isn’t is a crime.”\"<\/p>\n

Amid the allegations, Chris lost<\/a> a $12 million deal to sell his Tequila brand, was removed<\/a> from The Equalizer, and had a Peloton commercial pulled<\/a>. It was also reported that he was removed from the Season 1 finale of And Just Like That…, which was supposed to feature a reunion<\/a> scene between Carrie and Big following Big\u2019s death in the first episode.\"<\/p>\n

Sarah Jessica and her SATC\/ AJLT castmates, Kristin Davis<\/a> and Cynthia Nixon<\/a>, issued a joint statement<\/a> in support of the women who came forward, too. It read: “We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”\"<\/p>\n

And Chris has now admitted that he found this statement \u201cdisappointing.\u201d In a preview clip of his upcoming appearance on Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, per People<\/a>, Chris said of Sarah Jessica: \u201cWe\u2019re not friends, I think that\u2019s pretty obvious.\u201d\"<\/p>\n

\u201cThe statement that they put out \u2014 which was nothing more than brand management, really \u2014 I don\u2019t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising,\u201d he went on. \u201cBecause you need to call me and hear my side of this. You\u2019ve known me for many years, and we\u2019ve worked [together] for many years.\u201d\"<\/p>\n

\u201cI get it, that\u2019s more Hollywood than Hollywood,\u201d Chris added. \u201cBut before you make that statement, you know me, you\u2019ve known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this. And that didn\u2019t happen, and that was too bad.\u201d\"<\/p>\n

Still, Chris insisted that \u201cwhat\u2019s gained is good,\u201d explaining: \u201cYou know where people stand and you know who your real friends are and who they\u2019re not. That\u2019s important to know. I just know if it had been on the other hand, I wouldn\u2019t have done that.\u201d He concluded: \u201cThat was hurtful, and it really affected everything.”\"<\/p>\n
