Princess Anne<\/a> has allegedly been having talks with her brother, King Charles<\/a> and her nephew, Prince William, about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor<\/a>\u2019s \u201charsh\u201d treatment, it has been claimed. The disgraced former Duke of York<\/a> found himself with no titles and honours and lost the home he had had since 2003, Royal Lodge, following the furore regarding his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was banished into humiliation and spent Christmas alone in Windsor, while the rest of the Royal Family were in Norfolk, attending the annual church service at Sandringham.<\/p>\n

Despite denying all allegations against him, the former prince agreed to give up his lease on Royal Lodge<\/a> and move to a much smaller property in the King\u2019s Sandringham Estate after it emerged that he had been paying \u201cpeppercorn\u201d rent. Now, sources claimed that there are some members of the Royal Family who think Andrew was treated too \u201charshly\u201d by the Firm, and they are no other than his other two siblings, the Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

A source told the Daily Mail<\/a>: \u201cAnne has been vocal with both the King and William about Andrew’s treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are several arguments going on between Andrew and the King and between the King and the wider family \u2013 some of whom are convinced the King has treated his brother too harshly.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source added: \u201cIt is easy to forget that Andrew has not been found guilty of anything and he denies all allegations.\u201d<\/p>\n

They said that the King still holds the view that his brother is \u201cinnocent until proven guilty\u201d and it \u201cdoesn\u2019t fit well\u201d with him to have to treat the former Duke \u201cas harshly as he has to in the circumstances\u201d.<\/p>\n

But there are reportedly two royals who have a firm stance against Andrew – the Prince of Wales and Queen Camilla.<\/p>\n

The source said: \u201cWilliam and Camilla take a harder line, which has caused a lot of family angst.\u201d<\/p>\n
