She is about to star in one of the most controversial seasons of Married At First Sight.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

And\u00a0Alessandra Rampolla<\/a>\u00a0was spotted looking tense and downcast during filming for the new season in Sydney<\/a> recently.<\/p>\n

The TV sexologist, 51, was worlds away from her cheery self when she stepped out onto her hotel balcony to take a phone call.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alessandra’s concern grew as she stared out into the distance and she appeared to be on the verge of tears.<\/p>\n

At one point, she\u00a0paused to take a deep breath as if to compose herself.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alessandra was getting TV ready for the day, sporting an orange and white striped dressing gown and a full face of make-up and styled tresses.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She accessorised her look with statement earrings and several bangles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Puerto Rican-born star recently told Daily Mail that viewers can expect a dramatic season that even pushed the experts to breaking point.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘The women are feisty, combative and sometimes toxic,’ she said.<\/p>\n

‘This is now my sixth year doing the series. In previous seasons, one or two participants carried most of the drama.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘With this cast, the drama is spread out… and explosive,’ she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Alessandra, the new cast is full of\u00a0‘big personalities’, and fans should expect a few\u00a0Jekyll and Hyde moments.<\/p>\n

‘Some of the participants are lovely in casting… they have it all together, they’re hopeful, their behaviour is good and they appear to be honourable…<\/p>\n

‘Then you watch them interact at the dinner parties, and sometimes I wonder, “Who is this person I spoke to you a few months ago?”<\/p>\n

Her body language suggested a heavy conversation<\/p>\n

Asked whether there is one personality type that consistently struggles on the show, Alessandra was clear.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Whoever is not really ready to open up and be vulnerable and be real is going to struggle,’ she said.<\/p>\n

Alessandra believes one of the biggest relationship issues this season is the cast’s obsession with instant chemistry.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t understand why participants are always so hung up on initial attraction,’ she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Because they’re married at first sight, people assume it has to be love at first sight,’ she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘But we’re thinking about commitment first, and then building the relationship. It’s the other way around.’<\/p>\n
