Norma, 94, had been a fan of Robbie Williams since he started his career with Take That<\/p>\n
A 94-year-old care home resident who had a surprise video call with pop superstar Robbie Williams before Christmas has died.<\/p>\n
Norma, a resident of Humberston House Care Home in North East Lincolnshire, had followed the singer from when he was in Take That and had always wanted to see him.<\/p>\n
Bailey Greetham-Clark, who holds wellbeing sessions with residents at the home, organised the call with the singer and said the moment had been full of “love and joy”.<\/p>\n
The fitness coach said Norma had felt like “the king of the castle” after speaking with Williams and had spent the last few weeks of her life reliving and talking about it.<\/p>\n

Greetham-Clark had uploaded a video of Norma talking about her wish to meet the former Take That musician to social media, which was viewed over a million times.<\/p>\n
Williams was tagged over 5,000 times by fans before his team arranged the 25-minute call.<\/p>\n
“The news and the media that came with it made Norma feel so special,” Greetham-Clark added.<\/p>\n
“She felt like a superstar.”<\/p>\n
Williams said on the call that he hoped to meet Norma in person next time he was in the UK. <\/p>\n
On Friday, the singer reached number one in the album chart, with Britpop – his 16th album as a solo artist. Williams now has the most number one albums in UK chart history<\/a>, surpassing The Beatles.<\/p>\n ‘Special moment’<\/p>\n Greetham-Clark told the BBC that he had informed the singer’s team of Norma’s death.<\/p>\n The fitness coach said Norma “lit up” the room. “Her smile would just brighten the place up.
