Miley Cyrus<\/a> was hoping to score her first Academy Award nomination in the Best Original Song category for \u201cDream as One,\u201d which she co-wrote for Avatar: Fire and Ash. Sadly, Cyrus, as well as fellow superstars like Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, and Nine Inch Nails, were left out in the cold<\/a>, as the Academy overlooked them in favor of five other tunes which are competing for one of the most prestigious prizes in music.<\/p>\n \u201cDream as One\u201d was not a big hit when it arrived in late 2025, and now that the Golden Globe-nominated cut didn\u2019t end up an Oscar nominee, Cyrus has less on her plate \u2013 though the singer is up for Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys. This week, she scores not just a new hit on a Billboard ranking in America, but her first win on a tally she\u2019s never reached before, and she lands on the list thanks to one of her family members.<\/p>\n \u201cKnow This\u201d Brings Miley Cyrus to a Chart She\u2019s Never Seen<\/p>\n Cyrus debuts the song \u201cKnow This\u201d<\/a> on Billboard\u2019s Adult Alternative Airplay chart<\/a>. The weekly list looks only at the tracks that reach the largest audiences via radio stations throughout the United States that play a form of rock music known as adult alternative, which skews older and is typically thought of as a more laid-back sound. \u201cKnow This\u201d opens at No. 40, immediately becoming a minor top 40 success on the tally.<\/p>\n Braison Cyrus Earns His First Billboard Chart Appearance<\/p>\n \u201cKnow This\u201d is fronted by a different Cyrus, with Miley credited as a featured act. Braison Cyrus, the superstar\u2019s younger brother by two years, earns his first placement on any Billboard roster as \u201cKnow This\u201d arrives.<\/p>\n The Cyrus Family\u2019s Legacy on the Billboard Charts<\/p>\n Braison is the latest from the Cyrus dynasty to land a Billboard hit. The first to do so was patriarch Billy Ray Cyrus, who made his name with his country smash \u201cAchy Breaky Heart.\u201d Then, decades later, he returned alongside Lil Nas X on \u201cOld Town Road,\u201d which once stood as the longest-running No. 1 hit of all time. <\/p>\n Several people within Miley\u2019s generation have also appeared on at least one of Billboard\u2019s rankings. Trace Cyrus scored a huge hit in the aughts with his band Metro Station, which sent \u201cShake It\u201d into the top 10 on the Hot 100. Of the four tracks on the short set, two include features from his siblings.
