The Android 17 leaks<\/a> continue today with a preview of the upcoming blur effect for System UI, as well as functional changes and updates.<\/p>\n RKBDI<\/a> provided us with an early look at an internal Android 17 build.\u00a0<\/p>\n Android 17 Blur<\/p>\n First up is the new blur effect for system UI elements. The volume slider provides one of the best examples of the switch from a solid light\/dark background to a translucent material. Themed by Dynamic Color, you can see the background wallpaper. (Note: The three-dot overflow icon has been replaced by something more descriptive.)<\/p>\n In the full volume panel screenshot, you can make out app icons at the bottom of the screen.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n Finally, there\u2019s the translucent power menu, which also now applies a noticeable blur to the background of your current screen.\u00a0<\/p>\n Screen recording tool\u00a0<\/p>\n Today, activating screen recording brings up a pop-up menu, with Quick Settings remaining in the background.<\/p>\n In Android 17, you get a lighter interface that makes use of a floating pill. When \u201cEntire screen\u201d is selected, you get the following options: Record device audio, Record microphone, and Show touches. <\/p>\n The status bar count remains and tapping once a recording has started brings back the control pill. You can doodle on the image with multiple colors and access settings. Afterwards, you get a preview screen to share or edit.<\/p>\n App lock + Bubble<\/p>\n When long-pressing on an application, you will see a \u201cLock app\u201d option.\u00a0This is not yet fleshed out in this build.<\/p>\n Similarly, \u201cBubble\u201d might no longer be limited to apps with conversations. <\/p>\n \t\t FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links.
