Brooklyn Beckham severed ties with his family last week in a series of Instagram stories that blasted his parents, David and Victoria, claiming they \u201chijacked\u201d his wedding and sabotaged his relationship with wife Nicole Peltz.<\/p>\n
\u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family. I\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Brooklyn also alleged his mother danced \u201cvery inappropriately\u201d on him during a song that had been reserved for the newlyweds\u2019 first waltz.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He accused his parents of prioritising the family brand \u201cabove all else\u201d and claimed they tried to bribe him into signing away the rights to his name.<\/p>\n
While Victoria has not publicly addressed Brooklyn\u2019s posts, David Beckham said: \u201cChildren are allowed to make mistakes, that\u2019s how they learn … you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
