\n\tThe 3D concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft, which captures the Billie Eilish<\/a>\u2019s most recent tour for her third studio album, will now debut in theaters May 8.<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-directed by Eilish and Avatar helmer James Cameron<\/a>, the Paramount movie was originally set to launch March 20 alongside Amazon MGM\u2019s Project Hail Mary. Now it will face off with Mortal Kombat II.<\/p>\n

\n\tCameron posted shots of himself and Eilish in edit, fine-tuning the film, promising that the delay will be \u201cworth the wait.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWe\u2019re refining the cut, dialing in exciting new 3D tech, and adding special behind-the-scenes elements we know you\u2019ll love,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe collaboration was first announced in the summer of 2025<\/a> by Eilish\u2019s at her sold-out Co-op Live show in Manchester Saturday, July 19. She joked that she would likely be wearing the same outfit for the following three shows for the film\u2019s continuity. Cameron was said to be in the audience that night, and the \u201cBirds of a Feather\u201d singer acknowledged the presence of more cameras than usual near the stage.<\/p>\n

\n\tHit Me Hard And Soft was nominated for Grammys in 2025, adding to the singer\u2019s total 34 nominations. She has nine Grammys to her name as well as two Best Original Song Oscars: one for \u201cWhat Was I Made For?\u201d from Greta Gerwig\u2019s billion-dollar grossing Barbie<\/a> and the other for \u201cNo Time to Die\u201d from the 2021 James Bond film. Both are shared with her brother, Finneas O\u2019Connell.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis isn\u2019t Eilish\u2019s first film as the main subject, as R.J. Cutler made a documentary about her titled The World\u2019s A Little Blurry, which came out in 2021 for Apple.<\/p>\n
