Frankel, Ph.D.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Sabina Ahmed: \u201cThe Invention of Nature: Alexander von Humboldt\u2019s New World,\u201d by Andrea Wulf <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Natali Altshuler: \u201cThe Culture Code,\u201d by Daniel Coyle. It explores what it takes to make high-performing teams work \u2014 and how to build trust, safety and shared purpose. It has case studies from across various industries, which I found both practical and inspiring.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Mary Beck: John Irving\u2019s \u201cA Prayer for Owen Meany.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Komal Bhukhanwala: With two kids and a job, limited time to read. \u201cSteal Like an Artist\u201d by Austin Kleon gave me the best advice. Collect books, even if you don\u2019t plan to read them right away. There\u2019s magic in an unread library. Ours holds about 1,500 books and one day I hope to read them all. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Marianne Boak: \u201cPower of Now,\u201d by Eckhart Tolle<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Danielle Brown: \u201cWomen and Leadership,\u201d by Julia Gillard and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Margaret Gray Connelly: \u201cThe Infinite Game,\u201d by Simon Sinek (brilliant!) and \u201cCutting for Stone,\u201d by Abraham Verghese (beautiful!) and \u201cTogether,\u201d by former Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy (moving!) and, of course, \u201cGood Company,\u201d by Arthur Blank (inspiring!) \u2014 so many books, so little time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Kristyn Cook: \u201cDrive,\u201d by Daniel Pink. It taught me that human motivation requires mastery, autonomy and purpose. I also enjoyed \u201cQuotable Wooden\u201d by John Reger, which reinforces that leadership is all about helping people become the best they are capable of being, not how I think they should be.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Carol Coppola: \u201cKeeping Your Brain Young,\u201d by Guy McKhann M.D.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Shaneika Dabney-Henderson: \u201cThe Corporate Playbook,\u201d by Deborah Grant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Laura Dixon: \u201cThe Man Who Ran Washington,\u201d by Peter Baker and Susan Glasser; \u201cHow Stella Got Her Groove Back,\u201d by Terry McMillan<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Gabrielle Dow: Our work book club just finished \u201cAtomic Habits,\u201d by James Clear, and my summer read was \u201cThe Name of the Wind,\u201d by Patrick Rothfuss.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Brooke Faw: \u201c12 Second Culture,\u201d by Mike Metcalf and Shaun Peet<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Savannah Foster: \u201cEverything is Figureoutable,\u201d by Marie Forleo<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Kristen Fulmer: \u201cReimagining Capitalism with a World on Fire,\u201d by Rebecca Henderson<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Denise Gaffney: \u201cTo Kill a Mockingbird,\u201d by Harper Lee<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Bracken Zimmerman Gustin: In the business genre, \u201cGood to Great,\u201d by Jim Collins is outstanding and has timeless relevance. Otherwise, I enjoy authors like David Brooks, Malcolm Gladwell, Esther Perel and Brene Brown. Amy Griffin\u2019s memoir, \u201cThe Tell,\u201d is the most riveting book I have read this year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Krista Hansen: \u201cThe Heart-Led Leader,\u201d by Tommy Spaulding<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Erin Hanson: \u201cThe Present,\u201d by Spencer Johnson <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Jayna Hefford: \u201cLegacy: What the All Blacks Can Teach Us About the Business of Life,\u201d by James Kerr <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Karina Herold: \u201cThe Daily Stoic,\u201d by Ryan Holiday<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Morgan Howe: \u201cJust for the Summer,\u201d by Abby Jimenez <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Carey Hoyt: \u201cBecoming Built to Lead,\u201d by Chet Scott<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Amina Hussein: \u201cThe Can-Do Mindset,\u201d by WNBA legend and NBA on Prime analyst Candace Parker<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Ishveen Jolly: \u201cThe Hard Thing About Hard Things,\u201d by Ben Horowitz for work; \u201cYearbook,\u201d by Seth Rogen for leisure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Christy Keswick: \u201cShoe Dog,\u201d by Phil Knight. Incredible storytelling of entrepreneurship from a startup to the building of an iconic brand. It\u2019s such a great reminder that all things start small. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Amanda Larder: \u201cMoms on Call,\u201d by Laura Hunter and Jennifer Walker (saved me and my husband in early parenthood)<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Camala Lapray: \u201cChop Wood, Carry Water,\u201d by Joshua Medcalf<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Barbara Meili: \u201cCable Cowboy,\u201d by Mark Robichaux<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Laura Meyer: \u201cMoneyball,\u201d by Michael Lewis<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Pam Miller: \u201cTo Kill A Mockingbird,\u201d by Harper Lee. So many life lessons in this classic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Liz Moore: I genuinely love all the John Grisham legal thrillers. Lawyers at the center of high-stakes drama? I\u2019m in every time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Julie Morris: \u201cHarry Potter\u201d (Everyone should have a little fantasy\/magic in their lives.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Marsha Oliver: \u201cFalling Upward,\u201d by Richard Rohr<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Jessica Presnall: \u201cDaring Greatly,\u201d by Brene Brown<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Alexa Pritting: \u201cSitting Pretty,\u201d by Rebekah Taussig<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Jessica Robertson: I gift \u201cLetters to a Young Poet\u201d by Rilke often because it\u2019s a wonderful exploration of self, especially in teaching us to be comfortable not knowing answers to life\u2019s questions, but rather trusting we\u2019ll live into the answer. As much as it resonates in real life, I find it very meditative in business and how that lesson relates to career journeys. Nothing is linear but everything is connected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Kimberly Rometo: \u201cThink Again,\u201d by Adam Grant<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Caryn Rosoff: \u201cShoe Dog,\u201d by Phil Knight<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Amber Sabathia: Reading Mel Robbins\u2019 book, \u201cThe Let Them Theory,\u201d helped me focus on my clients and understand that I can only control what I can control, allowing others to act as they wish.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Amy Salazar: I recently read \u201cRelentless,\u201d by Tim Grover. It was a unique view that helped me better understand some of the competitive mindsets of my team members. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Alice Shing: Anything by Nancy Meyers. I love learning by listening to people, and books are an escape for me \u2014 they recharge me and bring me joy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Michelle Smith: \u201cWhat If?\u201d by Steve L. Robbins, Ph.D.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-awards-and-honors \">Bridget Sponsky: \u201cMaybe You Should Talk To Someone,\u201d [by Lori Gottlieb].
