<\/p>\nEllie Costello has revealed why she will be absent from GB News Breakfast, telling viewers she is \u201cso excited\u201d about her upcoming plans.<\/p>\n
Speaking on air, she explained that her honeymoon, which had been delayed for months after her wedding in the South of France, is finally happening.<\/p>\n
The long-awaited trip will see her heading off on a dream safari, something she\u2019s never experienced before.<\/p>\n
Speaking on The People’s Channel this morning, Ellie said: “It\u2019s a horrible time of the year. I need a glass of wine.\u201d<\/p>\n
Eamonn Holmes pointed out: \u201cYou\u2019re getting out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ellie said: \u201cI am tomorrow. Yes. I\u2019m off my honeymoon tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n
Eamonn joked: \u201cYeah. I mean, she got married last summer, and now she\u2019s got the honeymoon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ellie asked: \u201cCan I tell you why? We had to have this gap because we got married six months ago, and you all know it was an extravaganza in South France.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eamonn said: \u201c Yes I went to your three-day wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ellie explained: \u201cAnd that took so much planning because there wasn\u2019t a wedding planner. I was the wedding planner and it took it out of me. <\/p>\n
“It knocked the stuffing out of me. So then for the honeymoon, which I\u2019m also planning, I was like, I need to give myself some time to plan this, right?\u201d<\/p>\n
Eamonn responded: \u201cAnd what a plan. Can we tell people what you\u2019ve planned?”<\/p>\n

Ellie explained: \u201cTo go on a safari and I\u2019ve never been on a safari. And it\u2019s been my dream holiday. You\u2019ve been before, haven\u2019t you? And you said it was one of the best holidays ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ellie, who tied the knot with her beau Gerard Durkan in an intimate ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall on April 12 also had an extravagant South of France wedding with many members of the GB News family. <\/p>\n
The GB News host opted for a long-sleeved, buttoned white mini dress for her civil ceremony, she chose a traditional design by Allure Bridals and Jimmy for her nuptials in the South of France.<\/p>\n
The couple also honoured their Irish heritage with an Irish band and an open mic session on the Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Among the guests was her GB News co-presenter Stephen Dixon, with whom she also hosts the breakfast show which recently won a TRIC award for best news programme, on Thursdays and Fridays.<\/p>\n
“It was the wedding of our dreams,” says Ellie.<\/p>\n
“The atmosphere was electric and our guests told us they thought they were in a film. <\/p>\n
