Recalling his first encounter with Arijit, he said, \u201cWhen I heard about Arijit’s decision to stop singing for others, I was unexpectedly taken back to an afternoon at Super Sound Service in Khar \u2014 the old T-Series building \u2014 where the journey of Aashiqui 2 truly began.\u201dHe added, \u201cWe were releasing the music, and Arijit was called to sing Tum Hi Ho.\u201dDescribing the now-iconic moment, Bhatt said, \u201cA shy, self-effacing young man walked up to the dais and sang a song that would quietly mesmerise the world.\u201dAccording to Bhatt, that single performance altered the course of Arijit\u2019s life. \u201cThat moment became a springboard into a life that would never be the same again.\u201d <\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Arijit Singh stunned fans by announcing that he will not be taking up any new playback singing assignments. I am happy to announce that I am not gonna be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off.
