JRE also pointed out that there are no additional screws involved with removing the screen, only a metal latch and a “Lego-style” long black ribbon cable.

JRE also pointed out in the teardown how to remove the battery, which Android Authority notes is “easily removable.” According to JRE’s teardown, removing the back glass reveals the Pixel 10 Pro XL’s battery, alongside a green pull-tab. Removal of the battery is now composed of a few ribbons, the pull tab, and the battery plug, which makes removal as easy as a couple of yanks on the pull tab.

The component that JRE pointed out would be a little difficult to remove is the camera and motherboard, mainly due to a few hidden screws holding the components in place.

JRE summarized the Google Pixel 1o Pro XL as being one of the most repairable phones on the market this year, saying that it might even beat out the Fairphone 6. Overall, he cites the reasoning as being the accessibility of parts, the free manuals, and how easy it is to access and remove commonly-replaced components like the screen and the battery.

Source: JerryRigsEverything via Android Authority

MobileSyrup may earn a commission from purchases made via our links, which helps fund the journalism we provide free on our website.
