With it just having been confirmed that Ted Lasso<\/a> season 4 will be arriving on Apple TV this summer<\/a>, fans are excited to reunite with their favourite characters such as Jason Sudeikis’s Ted and Hannah Waddingham’s Rebecca.<\/p>\n

However, several characters have yet to be confirmed, including Nick Mohammed’s Nate.<\/p>\n

This week, Mohammed attended the Radio Times Covers Party 2026<\/a>, and didn’t let anything slip as to whether his character will be back.<\/p>\n

When asked exclusively by RadioTimes.com<\/a> how long he knew that the show would be returning before the recent announcement, he said: “I knew for a while that it was coming back, that Jason was keen to do something focusing on the women’s football team, and just delighted, because it’s such a nice show. Just lovely people, lovely cast, lovely crew.<\/p>\n

“It’s all speculative as to whether Nate will be back, but this is a show that’s focusing on the women’s football team. But yes, really exciting it\u2019s back.”<\/p>\n

Mohammed was also asked what he would like to see for Nate if he were to return, to which he said: “I like to think that seasons 1 to 3, he had a nice journey there where he ultimately has a forgiveness arc. And so I’d like to think that he’s back to being a little bit more like old Nate, rather than the slightly Darth Vadery Nate that came in season end of season 2, beginning of season 3.”<\/p>\n

On his hopes for the character more generally, Mohammed added: “I feel like Nate is, or was, a troubled soul, and I don’t know if that stuff ever really goes away. He obviously did have insecurities. And I’m sort of talking generally now, but with the right support network and so on, people can get through stuff and are able to cope a lot better.<\/p>\n

“But I feel like some demons never fully go away, maybe. But we\u2019ll have to wait and see if and when the writers write that or not.”<\/p>\n

Other returning cast members who are confirmed to be back for season 4 include Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift, Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt, while newcomers for season 4 include Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), Jude Mack (Prime Target<\/a>), Faye Marsay (Andor<\/a>), Rex Hayes (The Pact), Aisling Sharkey (Jurassic World: Dominion<\/a>) and Abbie Hern (My Lady Jane<\/a>).<\/p>\n
