Image: Richard Gresham <\/p>\n<p>Erebus Motorsport CEO Barry Ryan has been appointed team manager for the Mercedes-AMG that will be driven by Walkinshaw star Chaz Mostert and Tickford duo Cam Waters and Thomas Randle.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan led Erebus to Bathurst 12 Hour success in 2013 \u2013 and triumphs in October\u2019s Bathurst 1000 in 2017 and 2024 \u2013 and is eager for more Mount Panorama success.<\/p>\n<p>The car will be crewed by STM\u2019s long-time preparation partner Ash Seward Motorsport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was very excited to have Scott call me and ask me to be involved in this year\u2019s 12 Hour,\u201d said Ryan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKnowing that Ash and the ASM team are running the operation, and the calibre of drivers in the lineup, I was happy to be part of trying to win Bathurst again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cScott\u2019s passion and generosity towards Australian motorsport is hard to rival. Simply \u2018doing things properly\u2019 excites me, and his drive to win the Bathurst 12 Hour is unquestionable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBetty [Klimenko] was 100 percent supportive of me being involved, and I know I\u2019m going to enjoy being on this journey with STM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome may think that it\u2019s strange that we have such a mix of drivers and team people from different parts of Supercars all in the one garage, but we\u2019re taking our Supercars team hats off and trying to win the race as an all-Aussie effort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1017816\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/STM_B12HR_livery_26_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1024\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>STM\u2019s Bathurst livery. Image: Supplied<\/p>\n<p>Taylor thanked Tickford, Walkinshaw and Erebus for allowing the collaboration to happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great that we will have the experience and knowledge of Barry Ryan with us for the 12 Hour to\u00a0manage the operation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has won this race before and knows how to get the most out of the people around him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Supercars world is very competitive, so we really want to thank Tickford, Walkinshaw TWG and Erebus for allowing us to push aside the rivalries that exist in Supercars so we can have Australia\u2019s best compete against the world\u2019s best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Taylor has assembled the all-star Aussie crew in a bid to finally crack an outright win in Australia\u2019s International Enduro.<\/p>\n<p>The team suffered heartbreak last year when Craig Lowndes crashed out of the race in the early stages.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor responded by replacing Lowndes with new Supercars champion Mostert, who has shown blinding speed aboard GT3 cars at Bathurst but is also yet to score victory.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-988147\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Mostert-Waters-Adelaide.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1652\" height=\"1107\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Cam Waters and Chaz Mostert are teammates again. Image: InSyde Media<\/p>\n<p>The team has revealed a revised livery for the event, again featuring the names of Taylor\u2019s two dogs \u2013 Maddox and Indigo \u2013 and showing <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/motorsport-news-bathurst-12-hour-prostate-cancer-foundation-charity-virtual-car\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">support for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also on the car is a Waters logo, spruiking the Supercars driver\u2019s whisky brand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all know, the best looking race cars are the ones that win, and that is our sole aim,\u201d underlined Taylor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve come close before.
