If you were planning on buying a Motorola Signature<\/a>, you may want to try to do that right now \u2013 the phone was originally slated to cost \u20ac1,000<\/a> in the EU, but its price in Finland unexpectedly shot up to \u20ac1,300 just before launch.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not quite clear what happened \u2013 Motorola contacted local publication SuomiMobiili to notify them of the price hike but offered no reasons as to why this last-minute change was necessary. The launch package includes a free Moto Watch and Moto Buds Loop, which are valued at \u20ac228 (but that\u2019s not enough to account for the \u20ac300 price hike).<\/p>\n

\nMotorola Finland is now showing a \u20ac1,300 price tag for the Signature<\/p>\n

The good news is that the phone is still showing up at \u20ac1,000 in most of the other euro markets that we checked: France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain. Motorola Italy is showing \u20ac1,100, though.<\/p>\n

Note that only Motorola UK and Ireland have the phone listed as available, all the other stores that we mentioned (including the Finnish one) just have \u201cnotify me\u201d buttons.<\/p>\n

Motorola Signature<\/p>\n

The Motorola Signature should go on sale on January 30, i.e. tomorrow, since Motorola will stop accepting pre-bookings today. That said, for Nordic countries, the Signature is scheduled to launch on February 17.<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, we found the Signature at \u20ac1,000 on a third-party store<\/a> in Finland, so maybe it\u2019s not too late to pick one up at the old price.<\/p>\n
