Vijay Mallya is the man behind this remarkable home.<\/p>\n

But it hasn\u2019t been lived in for nearly a decade, and may never be a home.<\/p>\n

This White House replica is truly extraordinary \u2013 but it\u2019s not going to be lived in anytime soon <\/p>\n

When it came to building this imitation White House, Mallya spared no expense.<\/p>\n

Spanning out at 40,000 square feet, fitted with a rooftop helipad, an infinity pool, and a lush garden, this thing may well put the real deal to shame.<\/p>\n

Plus, it has views that the real White House can\u2019t compete with, given that it\u2019s at the top of a skyscraper.<\/p>\n

The \u2018White House in the Sky\u2019 began construction back in the early 2010s, built on top of the Kingfisher Towers.<\/p>\n

By 2016, it was nearing completion.<\/p>\n

However, disaster struck for Mallya as his financial empire began falling apart.<\/p>\n

With an alleged $1 billion owed in loans and the Indian authorities accusing him of fraud and money laundering, he left for the UK, claiming he was being unfairly targeted.<\/p>\n

The courts in India didn\u2019t see it that way, and his assets were frozen.<\/p>\n

As such, his White House remains incomplete \u2013 and nobody has stepped up in a decade to finish the job.<\/p>\n

Mallya is still tied up in legal troubles, with the Bombay High Court ruling last month that it would not hear his challenge to the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act until he submitted himself to the authorities, The Federal reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
