They plan to marry in March 2027. <\/p>\n
Despite the challenges, Muller said she has more ambition and drive to succeed, along with greater freedom and flexibility. <\/p>\n
The couple also feel a deeper sense of reward than they did while employed, now that they\u2019re doing what they love. <\/p>\n
They are both proud of the impact they\u2019re having on their clients\u2019 financial, physical, and mental wellbeing. <\/p>\n
\u201cMentally it\u2019s been a game changer, knowing the direction I\u2019m going in and the value I have in my family and myself,\u201d Muller said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWatching people grow stronger, healthier, more confident, or more secure financially is incredibly fulfilling, and that sense of purpose overtakes the struggles that come with being self-employed.\u201d <\/p>\n

Northland Chamber of Commerce chief executive Leah McKerrow said while she hadn\u2019t noticed a trend in young people leaving their jobs to become self-employed, it was worth the risk for some.<\/p>\n
\u201cAny business requires passion and commitment.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf people have an idea and follow business processes they can do really well.\u201d<\/p>\n
McKerrow said as demographics change, this generation may not be willing to work for others, so they\u2019re taking work matters into their own hands. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur normal view of what work is, is changing.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany young people are not buying into the \u2018working for a boss\u2019 mentality. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey want more flexibility, they want to be masters of their own destiny. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey possibly see their parents and question \u2018why would I do that for someone else and not have a life?\u2019.\u201d <\/p>\n
Muller said while their work requires some sacrifices now, they believe it will pay off in the long-run. <\/p>\n
\u201cI love the role I\u2019m doing because it impacts people\u2019s lives and I can see the benefit it has. <\/p>\n
\u201cI wouldn\u2019t give it up for the world despite the hardships.\u201d <\/p>\n
