The Town of Tecumseh has unveiled a bust of its namesake, Chief Tecumseh, in the town\u2019s hall.<\/p>\n
Fred Zavadil, a renowned wood carver and artist, approached the town in 2024, offering his plaster carving of Chief Tecumseh. <\/p>\n
Honoured by the gift, town officials acknowledged the need to have the bust cast in bronze to protect the fragile clay sculpture.<\/p>\n
The town hired MST Bronze Limited of Toronto to create a rubber mould of the bus and complete the bronzing process.<\/p>\n
“We are thrilled to be adding a significant legacy piece to the town’s art collection, thanks to the generosity of the artist,” said Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara.<\/p>\n
