The Emily in Paris<\/a> star, 36, shared a sentimental tribute to the Genesis musician on Instagram<\/a> on Saturday, Jan. 31, as he continues to face several health issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n Lily kicked off her post with a photo of herself and her father side by side as they smiled widely at the camera. She also shared a pair of polaroid pictures of the duo. She concluded her post with a sweet shot of herself as a little girl being carried by her father.<\/p>\n \u201cYesterday Dad turned 75 and I feel so grateful to have celebrated together,\u201d Lily captioned the post. \u201cFor all you\u2019ve accomplished, all the joy you\u2019ve brought so many all over the world for ALL these years, all the lessons we\u2019ve learned, all the memories we\u2019ve shared, and all the new ones to come, thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI count myself so lucky to have hugged you, laughed with you, and reminisced with you on such a monumental day. Love you to the moon and back again,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n The birthday tribute to her father comes one week after the \u201cAgainst All Odds\u201d singer \u2014 who shares Lily with actress Jill Tavelman \u2014 revealed on the BBC\u2019s Eras<\/a> podcast that he has hired some professional help amid his ongoing health issues. He previously dealt with nerve damage, knee problems, kidney issues and type 2 diabetes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s an ongoing thing,\u201d he told host Zoe Ball on the podcast. \u201cI have a 24-hour live-in nurse<\/a> to make sure I take my medication as I should do. I\u2019ve had challenges with my knee. I had everything that could go wrong with me, did go wrong with me.\u201d<\/p>\n Lily Collins\/Instagram<\/p>\n \u201cI got COVID in hospital. My kidneys started to back up. Everything seemed to converge at the same time,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s just been a difficult, interesting, frustrating last few years. But it\u2019s all right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Phil retired from drumming<\/a> and from Genesis in March 2022 after he played with his bandmates for the final time at London’s O2 Arena.
